Schwinn 430 Ellipticalschwinn elliptical machine

MSRP: $599

Bottom Line: The Schwinn 430 elliptical offers 16 levels of resistance with an Eddy Current drive system. This elliptical machine was designed to be compact but the feel has been compromised a bit. The LCD display is not backlit and therefore is awkward to read.

Pros:

  • Pivoting foot pedals support the foot and ankle's natural movement through the entire elliptical stride.
Cons:

  • Schwinn is owned by Nautilus Group, which has been consistently ranked dead last in customer service for fitness companies.

  • Front drive system undermines the smoothness of the elliptical motion.
