The
Reebok 525 Elliptical Trainer is built by Icon Fitness, the largest manufacturer
of fitness equipment. This elliptical has some nice features, but what concerns
us are the various reviews we encountered on Amazon.
For
the money you are getting an elliptical machine that has reverse action, 6 position
adjustments for optimal workout comfort and support for your joints and handgrip
heart monitor.
The
525 has two LED display windows which provides feedback in five workout categories:speed,
time,distance,calories burned,and pulse.
It is also equipped for iFit technology.

Reebok 525 Elliptical Trainer Review:
There
are two issues we have with the Reebok 525 Elliptical Trainer. First, it comes
with a meager 90 day warranty. We often see that as a reflection on the quality
of the machine and how it will holed up.
Second,
while researching this review we came across a number of very negative reviews
and ratings on Amazon. Here are a few of the comments:

I
am returning this DEFECTIVE machine pronto to the store, and never, ever buying
another Reebok problem. Clearly this is an issue with their machines, and clearly
they failed to address it.
After
a while, you only get one resistance level. Apparently,
this is a well-documented
issue with this machine. The extra
twist here is that after $200 in parts
and $100 in labor, a
factory authorized service tech declared it dead. He
replaced
the resistance motor, the circuit board and the console, and
reported
no change.
I'm
giving it 2 stars instead of none because I'm pretty handy,
and I'm going
to crank the max setting to a tolerable level,
and I'll use it as a single-user,
single-resistance machine.
Should have
never left the drawing board!

Had
same problem as another reviewer who owns a Reebok 525 elliptical trainer: Motor
stuck on maximum resistance. This is my first ever review on Amazon. I usually
don't take the time. But this problem--which clearly has NOT been addressed by
Reebok--ticked me off so bad that I felt it necessary to throw my 2 cents in here.
On
the other hand here is a very positive review:

I
honestly do not believe I see three negative reviews. We bought ours, assembled
it smoothly and it has been working perfectly from day one. It is quiet, smooth,
and the different resistance settings work perfectly. I recommend the Reebok 525
elliptical trainer to anyone.
If
you are serious about this machine we recommend you find a Dick's in your area
and test it out.
