The
ProForm 1280 S elliptical trainer is built on the same frame as the 880 and the
1080. For an extra $100 over the Precor 1080 you
get a few additional programs and the Power Incline control, which lets you change
your slope up or down electronically rather then manually. Actually this feature
is generally found only more expensive models. By alternating the slope you are
able to workout different muscles.

Comments: The big difference on the Proform 1280 S elliptical trainer is the power
incline. A nice feature that can add variety to your crosstraining workout. You'll
find a similar feature on some of the high-end Precor models. In contrast Precor
ellipticals have a 10 years parts and 1 year service warranty. ProForm has
a very limited 90 day warranty. Consider the extended warranty. These machine
can have problems with regular use.
