Bottom Line:The Proform (an Icon brand) EgoStrider 3.0 is a budget elliptical trainer that falls well below even entry level standards. At a $699.00 price tag you get what you pay for with this elliptical machine.
Thoughts:The EgoStrider 3.0 Proforms attempt at a very low-end budget elliptical trainer. This machine is made of very low-quality plastics and has one of the worst elliptical motions we have ever seen in a trainer. The motion is extremely unnatural and caused joint pain. The EgoStrider 3.0 has 10 resistance levels and 6 preset workouts. Variation between resistance levels was almost non-existent and when peddling hard at high resistance levels the machine would lose resistance. The handles are extremely flimsy and along with the short throw of the peddle rails; this elliptical is nearly impossible to get started. This bare-bone simplistic design may work well for extremely light use; but, we'd almost always steer any consumer away from this particular machine as it could be a very disappointing fitness investment.
