Proform 600 ZNE Elliptical Trainer
Bottom Line: The 600 ZNE by Proform (an Icon brand) is an entry level machine that offers an incline option but little else for a $999 price tag.
Thoughts: The Proform 600 ZNE is the perfect example of an elliptical machine that looks great on paper but struggles to deliver in the real world. This elliptical machine has a multitude options including, a 3-position stride adjust incline ramp, iFit-live functions, a heart-rate monitor, a space saving design, and a workout-fan. Despite these features, it still falls short. We found it to be rather noisy and felt unstable due to its plastic components and flimsy rails. This elliptical machine is designed to support a user weighing up to 275lbs; however, based on the construction of the unit, the components are likely to degrade rapidly with an operator of this weight. As with most Ikon products, this elliptical machine comes with a very limited 1year parts replacement warranty whereas other manufacturers such as Life Fitness and Smooth Fitness offer a guaranteed 5-7year parts warranty and a 2year labor warranty. This Proform 600 ZNE will work as a short-term entry level solution into an elliptical trainer, but if you want something of higher quality, that will last a lifetime, we recommend looking elsewhere.
