Bottom Line:The Precor EFX 5.25 is a scaled down version of the Precor 5.3 series offering fewer features at a lower price.
Thoughts:The Precor EFX 5.25 is a compact elliptical trainer designed for the space-conscious home user. Some of the workout features include, 16 resistance level, 8 workout programs, and a 15-25 degree adjustable incline ramp. The moving handle bars are sold as a key feature, but moving handlebars are essential to getting the most out of any elliptical trainer today. All of these features are a result of attempts at a compact design. The space saving smaller rear drive system offers fewer resistance levels and less adjustment in the incline ramp provides a smaller footprint. Overall, if these feature sacrifices are worth the space savings then this machine may be a great fit for you. However, keep in mind the lighter construction did lead to instability for heavier users when exercising at a fast pace. Unless you are set on owning a Precor; Life Fitness and True Fitness offer high quality machines that may offer more features for the same money.
