Octane Q37 Elliptical Trainer

MSRP: $2,399-$2,999

Bottom Line: Octane adds X-mode, Glute kicker and MOM mode to their proven design. Although it is mostly marketing hype, there is a lot to talk about with the electronics on this series. One advantage is the easy step up from the rear.

Pros:

  • Low 4" step-up height — easy to get on and off and fits in rooms with a low ceiling.

  • Unique ArmBlaster program focusing on the upper body (Q37e and Q37ce only).
Cons:

  • Max user weight is low relative to the heavy mass of the elliptical machine itself.

  • Front drive — Despite that Octane currently produces the best front-drive ellipticals, we prefer the feel of rear drive units.
