The
New Balance 8.0 elliptical trainer is a light weight contender in this competitive
price range, and we mean that literally. It weighs only 103 lbs., which can impact
the stability. The elliptical motion is not the greatest, but what do you expect
for $700 (street price). It comes with a short 15" elliptical stride length.
The pluses are
we like the (6) window console. In addition to viewing speed, time, distance,
calories and pulse simultaneously, the console has a larger window for viewing
a graphical representation of you workout intensity. Also the New Balance 8.0
has the hand grip monitor on the moveable handgrips. A nice feature that allows
you to monitor your heart rate and still get an upper body workout. | MSRP | $856 | | Resistance: | Motorized

Comments: They state that this elliptical trainer can handle a person up to 275
lbs. Be real. This is a light weight machine with comparable components. If you
are considering this cross trainer we suggest you try it out first at one of the
mass merchants like Fogdog. Make sure the you do not find the 15" stride
to confining. This
elliptical trainer is designed for light to very moderate use. |
