The
Horizon Elite 2.1E is their entry level elliptical trainer. The Elite series is
generally sold through fitness specialty stores. The Elite series is very similar
to the "E" series. They give their models different names and a few
different features. The logic is that the fitness stores have a unique model that
is not seriously discounted like the "E" series found in mass merchant
stores or online. From what we can tell the only difference with the 2.1E and
the Horizon E 5.1 is a slightly better warranty
and a different (5) window console.
For
the price the 2.1E lacks features that you would find on comparable models. It
has a small 16" stride length. There are no programs and it has manual resistance
adjustment, but it does come with a handgrip heart rate monitor.

Comments: If you are sold on a Horizon you can basically get the same elliptical
for a couple of hundred dollars less if you buy the 5.1.
The
Horizon Elite 2.1E is built for light to moderate use.
