The
EVO Rev-300 is the entry level model of their elliptical trainers. For the price
you are getting a impressive package, and we consider this machine to be one of
the better values in this range.
It weighs in at 175 lbs. giving it a solid and sturdy feel. The heavy duty flywheel
gives it a very smooth ride. When you start or stop you won't find that jerky
motion found in other models at this level.
It
comes with 8 programs, including endurance and interval. Each of these programs
have 8 levels. Interval training is the hot new workout. It is proven to get the
maximum results in the minimum amount of time. See High
Intensity Training article.
There
are handgrip pulse sensors on the moving handlebar, which allow you to continually
monitor your pulse rate without interrupting your upper body workout (Most sensors
are found on stationary bars). Also found on each of the EVO elliptical are adjustable
ergonomic foot pedals. When exercising on an elliptical your feet and ankles naturally
want to pivot. The Rev-300 foot pedals mimic the pivotal movement, thereby preventing
any harsh impact or possible injury.

Comments: For approximately $1299 we consider the EVO Rev-300 to be a "Good"
value. The design, features and components make it one of the better ellipticals
available in the $1,000-$1,500 price range. Unlike many of the inexpensive ellipticals
under $1,000, you are not buying a toy, but rather a durable machine built for
endurance.
