 Schwinn is part of the Nautilus Health and Fitness Group, yes the same company that brings you the BowFlex. Unfortunately, the BowFlex was a gimmick product and as such fooled well over one million customers into purchasing this smoke and mirrors strength product. Now that Nautilus Group is pretty much done with the BowFlex product category, they are running out of cash to manage their business and it certainly shows in the quality of their products.
You might ask why I am telling you this, but hang on there is good reason. Nautilus Group also owns other brands like Schwinn, Trimline, Nautilus and Stairmaster and because their cash cow is in the toilet now, the whole company is crashing and burning. Recently, Nautilus was ranked dead last in a customer survey amongst fitness specialty dealers who were asked to rank the manufacturers for customer service. Add to that the fact the NLS stock price has dropped several hundred percent recently, it is safe to say that you should stay away from Schwinn or any of the other NLS brands.
