Nautilus Elliptical Trainers
Nautilus Group has been having financial and managerial problems of late; frankly, the company is in turmoil. Their CEO was recently let go and the board is searching for new direction and—lord knows—the product line-up needs some help!
All four Nautilus elliptical trainers are available at specialty retail, but because of the problems that the company has been experiencing, they have very few dealers left around the country. The product line is broken up into two rear drive units (NE2000 and NE3000) and two front drive machines (EV716 and EV718) which feature the MyStride™ adjustable stride length feature.
The MyStride™ feature allows users to push their feet out wider as they stride, making the ellipse longer and flatter. The feel is a bit strange, and as you begin to tire, your stride will almost invariably drop back to a very short motion. Nautilus was on the right track several years ago when they began to design this elliptical machine, but other manufacturers have leap-frogged them recently.
