 FreeMotion Fitness was originally a specialty commercial exercise equipment manufacturer by the name of Ground Zero. After several years of making cable resistance machines for health clubs, management sold the company to Icon Health and Fitness. Icon has used the brand to make beefed-up versions of their low-end cardiovascular machines and now FreeMotion is Icon’s premier brand. Distribution is extremely limited as most of Icon’s dealers would never carry elliptical machines in this high of a price range.
