Diamondback Elliptical Trainers
In addition to elliptical cross trainers, Diamondback makes exercise bicycles, treadmills and steppers. They are sold through fitness specialty shops around North America and a few regional sporting goods chains.
For years, Diamondback has made rear drive ellipticals which have a very flat stride due to the small flywheel in the back and the way that their handlebars meet up with the pedal skis. They have added some front drive elliptical cross trainers which resemble the ones from Octane.
Diamondback has been a solid player in the $1500-$2000 price category and if you look at this brand, focus your attention on the 860Er and 1190Er models. Large, non-slip foot pedals and a nice touch, but unfortunately Diamondback does not put the pulse grips onto the moving handlebars.
All in all, Diamondback elliptical machines are worth a look.
